The Art Walk

The Stories of Colina Park Art Walk brings the project to life in the community.

Using individual interviews with diverse community leaders, MVAS art students identified a symbolic image that captured the essence of each individual story.  The students worked with a professional artist to design the symbolic images - and to transform them into public art displays.

Working with the Boulevard Business Improvement Association, the student-designed images are being displayed in businesses along the Colina Park stretch of El Cajon Boulevard. Displayed and designed as an Art Walk, the compilation of these images tells the real Story of Colina Park.

Below is a list of the storefronts where the art work will be displayed:

  • Allison-McCloskey Escrow Company – 4282 El Cajon Boulevard
  • Awash – 4979 El Cajon Boulevard
  • Bargain Store – 5079 El Cajon Boulevard
